Christmas 2007

Well we were able to survive Christmas 07 with all the hussle and bussle. The boys did not get out of bed until 9am when Paul drug them from their beds. Santa was very nice to the boys this year.

Austin received a PSP that he has wanted for some time now.

Peyton was very pleased to see that the 4 times he saw Santa this year that he listened and delivered the Nintendo DS he asked for each and every time.

After we opened gifts I made pancakes and we enjoyed breakfast while we watched "A Christmas Story", a tradition in our home on Christmas morning. We were very pleased to wake to a White Christmas as it began snowing around midnight Christmas morning and it continued to snow all day.

We went over to Louie and Georgia's and had a wonderful Christmas dinner. Georgia made a very tasty prime rib with all of the fixings. Peyton ate his favorite cheese pizza as he still doesnt eat red meat. I am hoping that one day he will enjoy Turkey on Thanksgiving and Prime Rib on Christmas with the rest of us. LOL We also enjoyed Georgia's homemade pumpkim pie. YUMMY!

Christmas Eve 2007

Today we had Christmas with my family in the valley. The boys got to play with their cousin, Deegan. My mom made a fantastic dinner and my sister made her famous chocolate cream pie. It was great to have my entire family all together for Christmas this year. As most of you know, Paul hasn't been home the last 2 Christmases. Normally Paul and my dad work opposite schedules with their jobs, so it was a blessing to have them both home to celebrate. The kids ran around like a bunch of crazy indians. It was GREAT! My nephew Deegan who is 18 months old had more fun standing on the empty gift boxes than actually opening up his Christmas gifts.

Making Model Cars

Last night Paul and the boys spent some time putting together some wooden model cars. Peyton especially loved painting them.

Happy Birthday

This was taken last night at my parent's house. We all went out to the valley to celebrate my birthday with my parents and my sister and her family. The boys stayed the night and will come home today. Paul and I got up early this morning to finish our last minute shopping now that he is home. Tonight the four of us are going out to celebrate my birthday with dinner and a movie. We are going to see " National Treasure, Book of Secrets". All of my little history buffs are very eager to see the new movie.

Cub Scout Pack Meeting

Tonight Peyton earned his Tiger Cub Badge. He is so excited to be part of Pack 316. It was also the Christmas Party for the pack. The boys sang a Christmas song, received their badges, wrapped Christmas gifts for a family who lost everything to a fire on Thanksgiving Day and ate loads of goodies. Way to go Peyton!

ACS Christmas Concert

Today the boys had their annual Christmas Concert at school. It is just something about children singing Christmas Carols that gets me very weepy. Austin had the largest solo speaking part and he hit every word with perfection. Peyton sang with the rest of the first graders. They both looked very sharp in their new holiday ties that they picked out. My friend Joanne recorded Austin's solo so that when Paul comes home next week he can watch it. The 2 boys in the pictures with Austin and Peyton are Mattie { with Peyton} and Alex {with Austin}. They are brothers. They are also the boys best friends. It is very unusal not to see the 4 of them together. This afternoon was also the Conoco Phillips Christmas Party. I left work early to pick up my two and stop and get Grandma Blossom. We met Georgia at the party and the kids had a great time. They ate tons of cookies and enjoyed face painting and balloon making by the clowns.
