WAY TO GO AUSTIN

Austin made the ALL STAR TEAM for ACS JAM BASKETBALL LEAGUE ! His team was ranked #2 going into the tournament and was knocked off the first night by the #5 seeded team. It was a nail biting game from the tipoff. Austin was a bit bummed since they had already spanked that team two times before. However he held his head high and tried not to take it personal. Anyone who has seen Austin play basketball knows he is a very gifted and talented basketball player. He earned the nickname SKILLZ this year by his teammates. Austin's team ended up taking 4th place in the season. We have 5 weeks off from basketball and then Austin is going to play on a Spring JAM Team. The other boy in the picture with Austin is his teammate and good friend Kaylon Gardner. WAY TO GO AUSTIN!

ACS JAM BASKETBALL

Well the basketball season has come to an end. It was very bitter sweet for me. This was my first year coaching for the ACS JAM { Jesus and Me} Basketball League. It was a blessing and a honor to work with these 8 wonderful kids. I must say that after the first practice I was very worried about what I was getting myself into. It sometimes felt like hearding cats when they were all out on the court. We practiced once a week and had 2 games on Saturdays. The kids loved every minute of it and they never were upset when we lost. I am already looking forward to next year. Way to go BLUEBIRDS!
