An Evening Visitor

This evening there was a moose on the other side of our backyard fence. Our neighbor Donnie, was close enough to the moose to feed it. The moose was lucky to eat a dinner of apples and cucumbers.

A day visiting Aunt Ivy and Deegan

Today the boys and I went to the valley. The boys and I visited with Ivy and Deegan for a few hours. Deegan loves his cousins and really loves them when they play basketball with him.

PITTSBURGH STEELERS GOING TO SUPER BOWL- 23-14 WIN OVER BALTIMORE RAVENS!

As most of you know Austin and Paul are die hard Pittsburgh Steelers Fans. Peyton has loved the Dallas Cowboys since he first watched football with my dad. I on the other hand try not to take sides. I try to make it an even playing field so Peyton doesnt get out numbered. However since Dallas didnt have a chance this year, I am so EXCITED that the Steelers are going to the Super Bowl!

Another Weather Day- NO SCHOOL AGAIN!!!

Today is the 3rd day in a row that the kids are out of school due to weather. Rain, Wind, Ice and 40 plus degrees temperature doesnt make a pretty picutre. Just think there is no school on Monday either for the holiday. Talk about a mini vacation of staying in their PJ's all day and watching games shows and playing Wii. They are loving every minute of it.

No School Again

Well the kids had another day off from school due to weather. It continued to rain all night and the temperature this morning was 47 degrees. Just last week we were at -27 degrees. Talk about a change of weather. There is ice every where and the roads are terrible. Main roads are not so bad- but those darn side roads are icy with about an inch of water on them. You just slide all over the place. The wind is terrible. Parts of Anchorage have winds as high as 105 mph. The kids are praying that there will be no school tomorrow. Well see how it goes.

NO SCHOOL

This morning at 5am I received a call from my good friend Joanne. She was calling to tell me that school was cancelled for the day due to freezing rain. It was hovering at 30 degrees and pouring rain. The kids would have a day off. Peyton was thrilled- he would be able to play video games since the kids normally arent permitted to play Mon- Thurs. I normally have to litterally drag Austin out of his bed each morning. However this morning when I went in to tell him no school he leaped up with excitement. He was to have 3 tests today. So the 3 of us are going to enjoy a day of doing nothing and just sit at home and relax.

Mountaineers are on a roll

Austin had a basketball game tonight. It was a fantastic game. We won 64-24. Austin had {3} 3 pointers and scored 8 additional points. He actually got fouled on one of the 3 pointers. He did an amazing job. WAY TO GO AUSTIN. WE ARE SO PROUD OF YOU!

A Day of Basketball

This morning Peyton had tryouts for the ACS JAM BASKETBALL LEAGUE. There were 90 boys and girls for the coed teams for 1st and 2nd graders. Peyton and 7 other boys were actually moved up to play on the all boys 3rd and 4th grade team. Peyton was so excited. He really didnt want to play division 1 again this year as they limit what they can do like no stealing the ball and no full court press. Honestly he has been ready for division 2 for some time now. His best friend Matthew was also selected. WAY TO GO BOYS!

Austin had a basketball game this morning. His team won 47-12.
